This recipe is quick, easy, healthy, but most of all, delicious! The spiciness adds a kick to the typical egg white recipes that you see. It’s a great option for any meal of the day: a quick and light dinner, breakfast, or lunch. Add some red pepper and jalapeno to add some texture and flavor to the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs (egg whites only)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- pinch of salt
- Hot Sauce
- Optional: 1 tbsp diced red pepper
- Optional: 1/2 tbsp diced jalapeno
Directions:
- Preheat skillet on medium low
- Coat skillet with cooking spray
- Mix egg whites, crushed red pepper flakes, chili powder, black pepper, salt, diced red pepper and jalapeno in small mixing bowl
- Wisk together until ingredients are combined
- Add mixture to pan
- let egg set, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes
- With a rubber spatula lift egg up and let uncooked egg flow underneath
- fold egg into omelette and slide onto plate
- dash omelette with hot sauce
